My bank (Santander) does exactly this with some anti-virus rubbish it wants me to install.

The software is PC only and I run a Mac. Not only is it irritating that it won't take 'no' for an answer, but doubly so because I cant even run the useless software It pushes at me, and triply so because I can make my own decisions about which security products I choose to use.

Pah.
